A true signature event at Pointe-à-Callière, the Marché public is a remarkable historical reenactment that returns every August. Merchants, musicians, artisans, and characters recreate scenes from the era with the utmost authenticity: you’ll instantly feel transported to the time of our ancestors. The Marché public is also an opportunity to take part in workshops, games, and demonstrations of know-how passed down from Indigenous and French traditions.
