A flagship event of Montréal’s cultural season kick-off, the Expo World Press Photo Montréal is held every year at Marché Bonsecours, a heritage building. More than 68,000 people visit this major international exhibition, organized since 1955 by the World Press Photo Foundation. The award-winning photos are selected from tens of thousands of images submitted to the jury by thousands of photographers from around the world. Emblematic large-format images recall the world events that marked the past year in several categories. Other related exhibitions by Quebec artists and photojournalists are presented at this must-see cultural event.
