Cabaret: The Dancing Djinn
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Scheduled today · time unknown
The Dancing Djinn returns to Montréal with a brand-new Pride edition. This queer Arab cabaret blends live music, belly dance, drag, and theatrical storytelling into an unprecedented experience on a Canadian stage, built around the rebirth of the Mukhannathun, third-gender artists of medieval Arabia and Andalusia. Every song and number is new, but the magical story remains: a desert traveler, a whispering lamp, and the djinn who changes her fate. Presented in the intimate 1930s cabaret format of the Lion d'Or, the show unfolds in the heart of the room.
