In these sometimes extreme environments, wildlife displays astonishing adaptations, turning inhospitable landscapes into true refuges. Produced by the prestigious BBC Studios Natural History Unit, this film offers an immersive large-format experience that reveals never-before-seen behaviours amid spectacular scenery.

Dômesicle summer 2026

Here, sound and image are shaped together to create a collective, sensory experience.

325th anniversary of the Great Peace of Montréal of 1701

In the summer of 1701, on the current site of Pointe-à-Callière, cité d’archéologie et d’histoire de Montréal, 38 Indigenous nations, as well as the French and the Canadians, gather to make peace and bring an end to nearly a century of conflict in New France. This historic meeting gives rise to an unprecedented moment of discussion, alliance, and negotiation. Together, they sign the Treaty of the Great Peace of Montréal, a major diplomatic gesture whose impact still resonates today.

50th anniversary of the Olympic Games at Parc Jean-Drapeau

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Montreal Games, Parc Jean-Drapeau is rolling out a festive, welcoming program made up of accessible activities that bring the heritage and spirit of the 1976 Games to life. All summer long, Le Voyage des îles, the Balade découverte, the Cinéma Flottant evenings, as well as several cultural and sporting events, take on an Olympic flair.

ART-À-PORTER: A Story of Freedom of Expression!

The ART-À-PORTER exhibition presents unique pieces born of creative outbursts and narrative expression, created by 13 creators from Québec. Drawing on their exceptional practice and expertise, they have made body adornments, wearable sculptures and innovative, unusual jewellery that go beyond the usual understanding of traditional jewellery. These creations, stemming from a range of skills, illustrate the diversity of artistic practices at work and the use of sometimes surprising materials in Québec studios. Jewellery breaks out of its conventional mould and changes our understanding of this “portable art”.

Each offering opens the door to defining moments in life by linking biological, sensory, and emotional dimensions. By combining large-scale immersive projections with interactive free-roaming virtual reality, the experience reveals what happens in the body at the very moment attraction is born: a multisensory journey into the heart of chemistry, perceptions, and emotions.

Bonjour Chien, from here and elsewhere

Bonjour Chien, from here and elsewhere is an urban walk imagined by Montreal illustrator Chien Champion, deployed in public space and inside different venues in the form of sculptures, installations, and video projections. The character Chien, curious, sensitive, and constantly changing, explores the city, observes it, plays with it, and seeks to find a place in it. The installations unfold in the Quartier des spectacles and downtown. The whole thing is set within the illustrator’s distinctive graphic universe: a spontaneous and imperfect line, vivid colours, and an aesthetic close to comic books, where images spill over, overlap, and tell several stories at once.

Céline in Dior: a dazzling moment

In a North American premiere, the McCord Stewart Museum unveils the sumptuous Christian Dior Couture dress worn by Céline Dion during her memorable performance on the Eiffel Tower, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Designed especially for Céline Dion by Maria Grazia Chiuri, artistic director at Dior from 2016 to 2025, this dress is the culmination of more than 1,000 hours of extremely meticulous work.

Cinéma sous les étoiles

Cinéma sous les étoiles is an outdoor film event whose mission is to showcase documentary cinema dealing with current social and political issues. More than 40 friendly, free community screenings in around twenty parks and outdoor venues are followed by discussions with filmmakers or specialists on the themes covered by the films, helping make citizen voices more accessible to everyone. Since 2015, the short film competition has also helped support emerging talent by offering a special space for documentary filmmakers from here and elsewhere.

Culture Lab

“Culture Lab” is a series of multidisciplinary symposiums initiated and directed by Brian Boigon from 1991 to 1994. Held in the back of a Toronto club, each of the symposium’s twelve iterations invited four people from various fields of cultural production to examine a theme rooted in the history and theory of the digital. This series used the codes of the entertainment industry and nightlife to break away from the academic framework, thus marking the migration of culture in the context of the digital turn. The exhibition examines how architectural discourses take shape and circulate.

Through the creation of enveloping worlds, Keerat Kaur brings dreamlike spaces to life that are both strange and familiar. In these environments, language and imagination feed one another and animate an art imbued with tenderness and wonder.

The city's strength is that it has never been perfect

The exhibition “The city’s strength is that it has never been perfect” looks at Álvaro Siza’s urban projects through the lens of his experiential approach to understanding a place, its form, its intrinsic history, and its existence. It highlights his concern with determining the right level of intervention and building within the existing context, rather than thinking only in terms of individual buildings. The exhibition presents drawings, models, notebooks, photographs, and documents drawn from Siza’s archives at the CCA, as well as contributions from architects and historians connected to his projects. A book accompanies the exhibition, based on an oral account by Siza and enriched with newly discovered notes recently uncovered.

The International des Feux Loto-Québec

Fireworks competition with an explosive choreography of music and fireworks, the International des Feux Loto-Québec lets you discover several iconic attractions. The fireworks are launched from La Ronde, a Six Flags amusement park located on Île Sainte-Hélène, across from the historic Vieux-Port de Montréal. Get tickets to watch them from the best spot: the grandstands at La Ronde. The performances last 30 minutes, rain or shine, over the Saint Lawrence River, right next to the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, for several weeks. The competition attracts the world’s best pyrotechnic teams. The percussive pyromusical shows can be seen and heard across the city.
